I am happy to report that recent trade shows and conferences have been positive events. At the F2FEC and Amusement Expo shows, there was order writing taking place and money being spent, sure signs that attendees were looking toward the future with optimism. Amusement Expo also featured an interesting opportunity for learning with the Foundations Entertainment University seminar program.
This issue is full of good advice and industry coverage to help you make the best business decisions. In addition to an extensive F2FEC section, which includes post-event coverage stories and photos from attendees and three fresh articles about locations, we offer many other original features sure to catch your interest as you strive to run the best location possible.
With a special focus on food service, this edition contains several stories that cover how food is handled at a variety of locations. For example, in The Large Park Report, Contributing Writer Chad Emerson examines themed dining at large parks. Also, in the Roller Skating section, we cover keeping guests skating along with the right food choices and advice on making the best pizza. Pizza is a staple menu items for all fun centers, and the article includes tips to select the best ingredients. Desserts can be a delicious add-on for adults and children alike, and we explore the best-selling desserts at FECs. Other food articles include a look at menu choices at zoos, aquariums and museums and the food picture at haunted attractions.
Keeping attractions new and fresh-looking are first and foremost concerns for waterparks, amusement parks and escape rooms. In the Sprucing Up for Spring Section, we look at how waterparks and amusement parks handle the big buildup to a new season in terms of improvements and maintenance. The section includes a bonus sidebar, “Top Quick Fixes for a Bright Outdoor Landscape.” Additionally, in the Entertainment Center Report, we offer the story “Escaping from Dirt and Grime – Keeping Escape Rooms Clean and Bright.”
We also offer industry analysis from The Buzz Boyz, party advice for bowling centers, laser tag coverage, including stories on arcade games and the Laser Tag Convention, the top trends for coin-op games plus street operator employee training tips, and teaching your amusement rental company staff to upsell when booking events.
The issue also contains bowling, coin-op, FEC, trampoline park and general industry news and show photos. I hope you enjoy this edition and value your feedback. Please email editortapmag@Kanec.com or call 610-645-6940 ext. 0 with your comments, questions and suggestions.
