Digital Ad Specifications

Only PDF files will be accepted.

  • The PDF file must be be hi-resolution, CMYK with the fonts embedded.
  • Acceptable media include CD, DVD, E-Mail or FTP transfer.
  • Images must be SWOP (CMYK or Grayscale), TIFF or EPS between 300 and 600 dpi.
  • No RGB or JPEG images. Do not nest EPS files into other EPS files.
  • Do not embed ICC Profiles within images or use LZW file compression on any filess.
  • Fonts must be Type 1 fonts – no TrueType fonts or font substitutions.
  • All required image trapping must be included in the file(s).
  • No film separations will be accepted.

General information:
Please label all files and disks with YOUR company name, NOT the magazine’s. (i.e. tourist.pdf or souvenir.pdf) If you are an agency, use the name of the advertising client.

Kane Communications will not be held responsible for the reproduction quality of any ad materials that are not supplied following the aforementioned specifications or for any files that are received after the publiser’s closing date.

Please Note: All digital ad materials will be destroyed seven (7) months after the last issue date unless Kane Communications has been instructed otherwise.
