Creating Value for Owners and Guests – June 2108

From tickets that bundle experiences to discount coupons and more, there are many ways to offer your guests more for their money. Treating customers to specials will create goodwill and repeat visitation, and make customers think of your attraction even on non-pay weekends when funds may be tighter. Just as you offer financial incentives to the community to patronize your center, you too should receive benefits from your vendors. In addition to the best goods and services at value prices, the companies should be meeting your high expectations for great customer service and products, as well as providing advice on enhancing the patron experience.

In each issue of Tourist Attractions & Parks, we bring you high-benefit advice from your colleagues around the country and ads from many of the top companies in the business. This issue is no exception, and also includes the 2018 Entertainment Center and Location-Based Entertainment Supplier’s Guide. The guide is a great way to connect with many of the top vendors in the industry; companies that could help you create valued experiences for your guests.

To commemorate Bowl Expo later in June, the issue also contains an expanded bowling section in the Entertainment Center Report that covers food, upkeep and staff training at centers. Also in the report is coverage of attractions that offer mini-golf and go-karts, laser tag, trampolines and roller skating, plus vendor product news.

For a perspective from a different part of the world, we offer an International Vendor Spotlight covering Digital Centre’s Eclipse PhotoBooth in the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, in The Large Park Report, you can read a preview of what is new and fun this summer at the nation’s bigger attractions.

This edition also includes interesting coverage of the coin-operated game industry, a story about smaller attractions that complement the big rides at waterparks, a trends analysis from The Buzz Boyz, a Food Service Spotlight story that covers zoos and aquariums, a look at party rental promotions and the museum experience in two articles, and a piece on the food and concession picture at haunts.

I would like our readership to get in touch and send in email addresses. Your email will be added to the list to receive the always-informative TAP eNewsletter, and you will also get a chance to win a free gift card. Email editortapmag@kanec.com with your email address today.

I hope you enjoy the issue. Please email or call me with your comments, questions or suggestions and I will respond to your call or note personally.
