Daring to Be the BestMarch 1, 2014 No Comments
For each February/March edition, the magazine recognizes the top vendors in the industry with listings in the Who’s Who Buyer’s Guide. We hope the guide will inspire you to pursue more information about these companies online. In addition to their ads, advertisers in this issue are listed in the guide with phone numbers and websites to make getting in touch even easier. The issue also offers articles focused on operational tips any facility can use.
Our staff will be covering a number of trade events with this issue, including the Nightclub & Bar Show, TransWorld’s Halloween & Attractions Show, Pizza Expo 2014 and the 2014 Amusement Expo. Held from March 25-27 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada, Amusement Expo is an annual event for the coin-op and revenue-generating amusement, music and family entertainment industry, and offers a day of education and two days of exhibits. To recognize the event in this issue, we offer expanded coverage of the coin-op industry, including articles on the redemption toy and prize picture at family entertainment centers, trends in the most popular new games, tips to sell more meals, snacks and beverages from vending machines, and a special question and answer interview with the manufacturer TRIOTECH, a company with roots in the coin-op business.
Each issue we bring readers unmatched coverage of the family entertainment center industry. This edition the section is themed as a special “Spotlight on Winning New Customers” report. You can read about the best promotional strategies at bowling centers, tips to increase food sales at mini-golf and go-kart facilities, strategies to make use of the best music, lighting, carpeting and paint at roller skating centers, and a laser tag center article titled “Big and Small Changes to Improve the Bottom Line.”
We also offer a Large Park Report on international growth for these popular attractions, a waterpark story focused on offering family fun with a special sidebar “Rides that Offer the Most Family Fun,” an industry analysis piece by myself and business expert Frank Seninsky, an article on how zoos and aquariums reduce food waste, a profile of the 7 Floors of Hell Haunted Scream Park, a look at how technology is changing the museum experience and stories on new inflatables for 2014, picking the best insurance and more.
